‘It gives us pleasure to be able to present Anna Jöborn as Mistra’s new Chief Executive. She is a very good manager, with broad experience of various environmental and sustainability issues. We’d also like to thank Åke Iverfeldt for his six highly successful years as CE, in which Mistra’s role has expanded and its importance has grown. We in the Board look forward to seeing and supporting Mistra’s further development with Anna as our CE, and with Mistra as a central stakeholder in Swedish environmental research,’ says Board chair Johan Söderström.

‘I’m looking forward to continuing, jointly with my colleagues in Mistra’s Secretariat, with the work of developing new knowledge that can help to meet the great environmental challenges society is facing,’ Anna Jöborn says.

‘I believe that my experience of working on communication and cooperation between research and society at large is going to come in useful.’

Linda Bell, Programmes Director at Mistra, has been appointed acting CE until Anna Jöborn takes up her position in summer 2020.
